March has been a challenging month, especially for Europe. Perhaps you must have read a whole bunch of blogs so far reminding you to look after yourself and mental health during the lockdown, which is accurate. Since we are now already in April, we decided that this week will be taking a small step back and review activities and favourite we got in March.
First of all, our family grew since we got a new editor, Lynn – if you follow us on social media perhaps you are already caught up on that. Personally, I did a bunch of different activities throughout March. I found myself painting quite a lot since this is a valid way of expression for me.
I also spent a lot of time in my kitchen, my favourite dish of those I made is cinnamon rolls. Here is the recipe I followed:
For the mix:
- 4 cups of plain flour
- 1 sachet of yeast
- 2 fresh eggs
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1/2 butter
- 1/3 cup of sugar
For the filling:
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp sugar
For the glaze:
- ½ tbsp vanilla extract
- 4 tbsp icing sugar
- ½ tbsp butter
Procedure
- First you mix the flour and the yeast, and the sugar; you can optionally add ½ tbsp of baking powder.
- On a separate bowl mix the eggs, the milk and the melted butter.
- Pour the content of that bowl on the ball with the flour and keep stirring until you get a solid dough.
- Leave the dough to rest for a while
- When the dough has grown its size, use a roll to make a rectangular of the size that you desire.
- Mix the ingredients for the filling and pour until it covers the whole dough.
- Roll the dough from one side to the other and cut the size you desire
- Bake in pre-heated oven 180 C for 20-25 minutes.

I really enjoyed this snack and to be honest the process was quick and straight forward. However, a good snack fits perfect with a nice movie/series. But do go check Lynns first post talking about a romance movie top 10. Stay tuned for my next blog this week where I am going to share with you reviews of movies/series I saw during the lockdown. Comment bellow if you found the recipe easy, or if you have any additional preferences, I am looking forward to hear from you.
